Have you ever wondered how the many facets of fashion seem to work together? When there is a solid trend, the different aspects of clothing, shoes, jewellery and accessories seem to work together. Even though there are thousands of brands, you can visit many shops and see their interpretation of the trending styles.

I wondered about that too. So I was delighted to have a chat with Supre Trend Forecaster, Leigh Gallagher on my 88.9FM radio show. So if you want to know all about trend forecasting and new season Supre, listen to my revealing interview with Leigh here. PLUS, see the new season Supre Boho collection below.

As a former fashion designer with many well-known High Street brands in the UK, forecasting fashion was part of Leigh’s role. Now it IS her sole role and Leigh admits to finding inspiration in influential Instagram feeds and taking considerable note of street style.

I think you’ll find her interview very interesting. But one aspect we did touch on was the enduring love of BoHo, which features again in new season Supre collections.

BoHo is still Queen

BoHo is still Queen

One of our fave BoHo Queens, Nicole Ritchie in Elle magazine

Talitha Getty was the original BoHo queen of the 60’s and early 70’s. Since that time, we have loved Sienna Miller, Kate Moss, Vanessa Hudgens, Nicole Ritchie and many others. The care-free abandon of BoHo is very appealing, plus the opportunity to layer scarves & jewellery and go mad with suede, fringing, paisley, velvet and floppy hats.

New season Supre includes peasant shirts, off-the-shoulder tops and soft knits perfect for layering and relaxing. The cool thing about Boho in the Spring is the ability to layer and also wear cowboy or ankle boots. I LOVE this look…super cool and effortless. Check out the fantastic array of BoHo-friendly shoes from Beau Coops, my new fave shoe store.

You can also mix tartan with stripes, denim with muslin, knits with velvet…the only rule is that there aren’t many rules; except to look rock star cool (even when you aren’t a rock star). Thanks Kate Moss.

New season Supre isn’t ALL about bohemian Boho. Other key BoHo trends including stripes, denim, tartan and casual cool are all incorporated. Black + White is also fresh and on-trend this season. Thank goodness.
