Sometimes you see something that just gels. For me, it’s a combination of whimsy, humour, talent and composition; you just love it.
That was what happened when I first saw the delicate illustrations by the talented Mairead Murphy who has just launched her first wallpaper series, Great & Small.
So taken was I with Mairead’s work, I invited her to chat about her work on my Fashion + Home radio show on 88.9FM Hills Radio. As an Interior Architect, Mairead was used to very structured work – straight lines, symmetry, designs that made perfect sense. As an Illustrator, her designs were the complete opposite.
