I have featured some of Uros’ work for both men and women with new hairstyles for 2016. Plus some of his more adventurous works, with Historical Movements, the award-winning Future of Hair and some luscious new hairstyles for women.

So I guess it’s no surprise that one of the senior stylists with Kinky Curly Straight, Cherie Falco, is mastering her craft with the same precision and talent as her mentor. I had the pleasure of chatting with Cherie on my Fashion + Home radio show when she told listeners what to expect in hair for 2016. Whilst cuts are on the asymmetrical or blunt cut side, it was the colour combinations listeners found the most compelling. There’s a new richness and depth to colour this season with tortoiseshell topping the wishlist. Tortoiseshell is precision colouring with different shades of blonde, cappuccino, chocolate and black combined with balayage and tinting. Another huge trend for 2016 is Rose Gold with blonde taking on gold, strawberry, pale pink, honey and rose effects.

I have been lucky enough to experience both at the talented hands of Uros Mikic. But in February I’m going to experience the Cherie Falco magic. In the lead up to that experience, I was intrigued by Cherie’s work as a senior stylist and session stylist. What was I letting myself in for?

It seems Cherie Falco has learned well from the Master Mikic and is herself the recipient of numerous awards. Her hard work, relentless pursuit of excellence and mentoring is paying off… BIG TIME. Cherie credits luminaries including Uros Mikic, Joey Sandizzo, Kevin Murphy, Emiliano Vitale, Angelo Seminara, Indira Schauwecker and Robert and Karen Bava as her biggest influences.

I’m looking forward to my appointment with Cherie Falco; now just to decide which hairstyle…
