In our modern age there’s no need to know the gender of your new baby. Create a beautiful nursery based on style and design, not pink or blue.
Start the style and design journey for your children early on with a beautiful nursery. Whilst a nursery must be a place of calm, and often a place for hygiene and play, the decor doesn’t need to reflect gender. Here you’ll find some modern options including white and grey (very crisp), add a shot of yellow to liven things up, or even add a cool teepee that can be used for future play (or a resting spot for a tired parent).
When babies are still small, creative elements that they can’t touch can be added freely. Playful lights, cute toys, pictures and ornaments can be displayed on shelves and bookcases to add colour, calm or creativity. Your baby will be spending lots of time in a beautiful nursery and so will you. A comfy easy chair, curtains to block out sunlight, dimmers on light switches and snuggly items like sheepskin, mohair throws and fleecy wraps should be on hand.
The importance of storage can never be underestimated as babies seem to need an inordinate number of items. From nappies and powders to toys, towels and tissues there are many items that need to be immediately at hand. Square-box shelving was made famous by IKEA (seemingly) but it’s very useful.
