Babs Bodycare is a luxurious new Australian range so I was keen to try a couple of their face and body oils. I tried my first face oil years ago – it was Clarins Blue Orchid Oil – and I LOVED it. But I had no benchmark back then, and I probably used too much. So have they changed much?

Babs Bodycare

It’s not much fun waking up with greasy skin which may be why many Australian women have opted for oil-free skincare. Despite my virginal foray into face oil back in the day, face and body oils have been around for centuries. They are often considered to be the ultimate golden elixir for deeply hydrated, youthful and glowing skin. Heck, Sophia Loren credits a lifetime of olive-oil baths for her beautifully nourished skin at 80 years old!

Well Sophia Loren may have the time, and money, to indulge in baths full of olive oil but I don’t. However, adding some affordable luxury to my morning and evening beauty routines is appealing. Babs Bodycare is natural Australian skincare that celebrates the nourishing benefits of raw botancials. Bring it on!

Babs Bodycare

I have been trialling the face oil and the body oil over several weeks. The Babs Bodycare products are best used on damp skin so I use a spritz of organic toner before applying the facial oil. I was skeptical thinking I’d have a sea of oil over which to put my primer and foundation. But no, It does penetrate the epidermis quickly and does moisturise my usually dry skin very effectively.

The Babs Bodycare range of face and body oils claim to reverse the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and stretch marks. The range contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B5, C, D and E, as well as essential fatty acids, omegas and antioxidants, to protect skin and encourage new tissue and skin cell rejuvenation. Well, I can’t disagree. I’ve never had problem skin, but after using Babs Bodycare facial oil for three or four weeks my Mother commented that my skin looked better than it had in years. Gee thanks Mum.

Boasting lightweight, deeply penetrating and non-greasy credentials, the body oil is also luxurious on the skin. The aromatic oils of Babs Bodycare are suitable for all skin types and offer antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties without clogging pores. Like liquid gold, the daily oils restore optimal hydration for a brighter, radiant and younger-looking appearance. My opinion? LOVE IT, buy a bottle today and your skin will say ‘THANK YOU’

On damp or spritzed skin, the Babs Bodycare face and body oils last for at least four weeks (on me anyway) and retail for just $24 each. Support local and buy now from Babs Bodycare.
