Apartment luxury is within reach with practical and beautiful ideas.
Because there’s no reason why your home shouldn’t feel a little more luxurious, right? There are so many things you can do to make it happen, so I’ve chosen five of my favourites.
First, Make Sure You Have the Right Apartment
The easiest priority in apartment luxury is to make sure that you have the right apartment. If you don’t, then you can change where you live. Don’t start making cosmetic changes if you think it’s the wrong apartment for your apartment lifestyle. In some instances, things may be so bad that you can’t really do anything to make the space feel more luxurious. If that’s applicable, make sure you browse other options available. Meriton Apartments offer apartments that are luxurious and in appealing locations, so see what you can find.
Turn Your Bathroom Into a Spa
A key feature of apartment luxury and one of the most important rooms in any home is always the bathroom. It’s where you go to relax in a warm bath at the end of a long day. Therefore, it needs to offer the spa luxury that we all want. To do this, you can install features such as a heated floor, a central standalone bathtub, metallic tiles, or design a new look.
Add small items like wooden vanity cabinets, glass shelves, luxurious fluffy towels, scented candles, crystal bowls of soap, and new mirrors to change the way the room looks, and smells.
Upgrade the Lighting
Luxurious rooms are always well-lit, so this is something that you can’t forget. If the lighting in your home is simply not adequate, then you will never get the look and feel of apartment luxury. Think about what you can do to upgrade the current lighting installations and layout in your apartment’s key rooms. By adding large light fixtures like chandeliers, you can completely change how the room looks. Whilst you can add dimers to virtually any light fixture, adding more light to a room is a luxurious move in the right direction.
Install Antique Mirrors
If you want real apartment luxury, then you should turn to antiques. These offer you a bit of old-fashioned luxury and indulgence. And one of the best types of antiques in which to invest is mirrors. The patina and designs of old frames exude a delicious feeling of luxury, and they add a positive vibe to any room. They make small spaces feel much larger, and they reflect the light around the room bringing mood and brightness. So, definitely invest in an antique mirror or two for your apartment.
Add Flowers and Other Small Touches
Sometimes, even the smallest changes in an apartment can improve it and add a level of subtle luxury. By adding greenery and flowers you can instantly add a little feeling of opulence and expense. And there are plenty of other small touches that you can put in place as well. Add some new furnishings, a wine table with books and scented candles, velvet or faux fur cushions, a sheepskin throw, or woollen rugs to the floor. All these things can have an impact on the feeling of a room and create the apartment luxury vibe you seek.
