Totally Bootilicious! I am a BIG fan of booties, ankle boots if you like. They are drop-dead sexy and make jeans or skirts look amazeballs without even trying. Strictly speaking, booties are boot-shoes, always with a heel and up to or covering the ankle. But let’s not get too hung up on labels, right?
I prefer to wear my booties with either skinnies or a skirt with which I can wear black opaque or highly decorative stockings (usually in black) or black fishnets. But that’s just me. I readily acknowledge that booties are hot hot HOT and can be worn with just about anything and in any colour.
So I went searching for some street style booties to give you styling inspiration from around the globe. That’s the thing I love about street style; it’s not off a runway or styled for a photo shoot – it’s what YOU think about how fashion can be worn. Individual. Creative. Fabulous! And there are some GORGEOUS street style booties in this collection.
You MUST have a pair or leopard ankle boots; I have two pairs (wish I had more) – one is a pair of Wittner stilletto lace-ups in leopard pony hair with black heel (I’m wearing them right now with black + blue French Connection skinny jeans, a black asymmetrical knit and IZOA statement necklace in blue + turquoise + crystals). The other pair is from Nine West and they have a chunky high heel also covered in faux leopard pony hair.
I wear my leopard booties with skinny denim, skinny black jeans, grey skinny military pants, and with black stockings and black skirt or blacks stockings and red skirt. I LOVE leopard print with red. Anyway, back to street style booties.
Sigh. From skinny jeans to leggings and even a cute tutu with leather jacket; street style booties have so many options.
