One of things I adore about winter dressing is wrapping up in luscious knits. So when I saw the new AW16 collection from OSKAR The Label I knew I had gone to knitwear heaven, with an effortlessly cool after burn.
I covered the summer collection from OSKAR The Label, with it’s clean approach to styling, architectural lines, and fresh block colours. It was minimalist and androgynous. The AW16 collection is far more casual and, quite frankly, scrumptious. Think of an open fire, sheepskin rug, bottle of red and runny brie – add OSKAR The Label and you’re winter is set.
There’s a nonchalance about this collection that screams “I’m off duty but I’m still a fashion diva”. Even the most stylish fashionista has to eschew the high heels and wrap up good in chic cosiness. Having said that, OSKAR The Label is perfect for flats, stack heeled ankle boots or even thigh high boots. Mix ‘n match, and layer with pieces you already own.
Launched only in 2013, OSKAR The Label prides itself on clean tailoring, impeccable detail and modern silhouettes but with an affordable, high-end street wear uniqueness. Whilst I think of ways to relax and snuggle in the scrumptious knits, probably due to the Australian chic aesthetic, there’s plenty of room for channeling a downtown NYC spirit.
OSKAR The Label is a concise collection of directional, relaxed pieces combining feminine detailing with an androgynous edge.
Street style doesn’t mean lacking in detail or tailoring. With a design philosophy of that is inspired by the streets, OSKAR The Label delivers easy-to-wear, cutting-edge, iconic pieces that effortlessly integrate with an existing wardrobe creating individual style and understated elegance.
Our Australian designers continue to push the boundaries and show themselves as individual, on-trend and even leading the fashion parade. OSKAR The Label is no different in this regard although their attention to texture and tonal dressing does set them apart.
