Kookai clothing means clean lines, sexy shapes, tonal colours – direct from the Fashion Week runway last night, the new AW15 Kookai Clothing collection is stunning. These pieces are ideal for a progressive work place and the girl who wants to have fun with her corporate wardrobe.
Look, we aren’t all lawyers, right? I’m impressed with the latest collection from Kookai clothing because it’s tailored with an edge. Sure, you can wear some of the pieces in the courtroom and damn the stuffy legal fraternity. Most of the collection won’t look out place in the boardroom either.
But I’m a great believer in dressing for the job you WANT, not the job you have. Kookai clothing fits the bill beautifully. Did you see my sneak peek preview of the Kookai clothing Las Vegas photo shoot with supermodel Lily Donaldson? Well, these images now show some of those shots WITH the runway looks, plus more. Key trends to look for are;
- pastels mixed with navy and black
- thigh high boots
- asymmetrical hemlines
- bodycon shapes
- luxe fabrics
Block colours are still VERY big with baby pinks mixed with navy and grey (love! love!) and black setting off mauve and deeper blues. Sleeveless knits and heavier fabrics work beautifully with full or straight skirts because there’s always a gorgeous great-coat or classic trench to wear with chic aplomb over the top. Layering…that’s the key. Even ankles play a role, exposed in thin ankle straps on pumps or with added ruggedness via ankle boots – open toed or closed in.
I am a BIG fan of this sexy, tailored new collection for AW15 from Kookai Clothing. Key shapes can be added to clothing you already own – such as black skinnies or a shift dress. Nip in jackets and knits with a leather belt. Add one of the new pastels to black pieces in your wardrobe. Easy as.
Are you loving the new collection as much as I am? Which looks will you buy or copy? Can you add key pieces to your existing wardrobe? Are these good workplace choices for you?
