He’s the ‘enfant terrible’ of the European fashion and haute couture industries so to have Jean Paul Gaultier design a range for Target Australia is beyond exciting. His exclusive range of clothing, babywear and homewares will hit stores nationally from March 2016. Here’s a sneak peek of my fave items from the new Jean Paul Gaultier for Target range.

The range includes womenswear, menswear, homewares and babywear. Having earned a solid reputation as the ‘bad boy’ of the fashion world, signature Jean Paul Gaultier designs based on tattoo and popular culture abound. The collection is unique and quirky but will resonate with the Australian lifestyle, and street style.

“Every time I’ve been to Australia I have been impressed by the laid-back, un-stuffy confidence that Australians display with their fashion – it resonates with my design philosophy and has such a synergy with my own approach to fashion and style” Jean Paul Gaultier

Jean Paul Gaultier says he is always looking for inspiration on the streets, not just the catwalk, so his collaboration with the iconic Target retailer is a core-value based partnership. He says Target fashion is about what we wear on the street so his collection of every-day fashion that pushes boundaries is perfect for both brands.

There are over 100 products starting at just $10 including clothing, lingerie, homewares, baby and nursery items. I already have some fave pieces including the peach/cream sleeveless biker vest, slash-zip leather wriggle skirt, tattoo print shirts, vibrant red pieces, lace-up boots and the peach-cream silk-look jumpsuit. Oh and all the denim is really cool too. Did I mention the denim and tulle skirt?
