6 Things You Need for a Serious Chef’s Kitchen

6 Things You Need for a Serious Chef’s Kitchen

In recent years, we’ve seen a boom of culinary TV shows, including both famous chefs’ recipes and competitive shows where ordinary next-door people became high-end chefs. This trend gave birth to a nouveau generation of cutting edge chefs – not exactly the ones we can see on television, but the ones we become when preparing Heston Blumenthal’s roast turkey or Lorraine Pascale’s chocolate soufflé in our own kitchens. Since we always compare cooking with art, it is only logical to say that if you want to progress from Stickman to Mona Lisa, you need the right set of tools. Here…

Great Interior Design From Cleverly Alternative Places

Great Interior Design From Cleverly Alternative Places

If great interior design is your passion, you will know how hard it is to create something unique. There are new trends in interiors all the time so it’s easy to get swallowed up in them all… or just be confused. While there’s nothing wrong with taking inspiration from various trends, following them can sometimes mean having a home that looks the same as everyone else’s. Part of the beauty of owning your own house is that you get the chance to actually make it a home – remember, the two are very different things. Your home should be somewhere that reflects your personality, and somewhere that you and your family can relax in knowing that it’s your personal space.

Pete Cromer Kid’s Bedroom Art Is Fabulously Australian

Pete Cromer Kid’s Bedroom Art Is Fabulously Australian

Pete Cromer is an Australian artist with a colourful and quirky way to pay tribute to the beautiful animals we have in Australia. I live in the rural hills and am surrounded by many of the creatures depicted in the art of Pete Cromer. Typically Australian animals such as the kangaroo, koala, magpie, kookaburra, and galahs are joined by rosellas, fairy blue wrens, rainbow lorikeets, and cockatoos; all of which we have in abundance in our large valley garden. We even have pardalotes, also depicted in Pete’s work, and we once did have an azure kingfisher (very rare).
