Is Australia ready for Fred Hates Fashion?

Fred is a pervert for fashion. A freak. Passionate and awkward. The person that you you would most suspect to be a serial killer. Fred is interesting because she has such convincing obsession for material things and perceives fashion with all five senses. Fashion is the experience.

Launched in 2013, Fred Hates Fashion redefined the experiential realm of fashion events. Why? Well, when you take five hand-picked emerging and established designers, introduce them to five local emerging film directors and mix in five music composers, the challenge is to create unique fashion films.

Fred Hates Fashion

Fred Hates fashion is fast gaining a reputation for it’s creative fierceness and the underground fashion experience for the forward thinking. It’s a powerful collaboration with self-expression at its core. It exists to provoke independent thought and to inspire action.

Fred represents an open mind and the driving curiosity to hypothesise design, ex- periment and document, experiences that make you wonder, telling stories that are worth remembering.

“Three words; It’s the shortest story I’ve ever told. Fred loves fashion so much that she hates it” explains creative di- rector Hinny Tran.
