When the days are cold, the wind is blowing a gale & you want to rock flat boots not heels, isn’t casual winter fashion like wearing a favourite comfy slipper? You can throw it on and go. And if you want to look street-style chic and rock-star casual in the process, then you will love COOP’s new collection. Like a vintage leather jacket, this new collection just begs to be worn and loved.
Soft, oversized knits, baggy slim pants, prairie skirts with faux fur coats, just add doc martens and a floppy felt hat (or maybe a knitted beanie). Oh & obligatory cool dark shades.
These looks are from the same new COOP collection as the new black fashion featured here on Don’t Call Me Penny earlier this week. COOP features cosy casual winter fashion for lounging in, hanging out, a music festival, live theatre show or pop-up vintage bar. It’s chic and relaxed dressing at it’s most comfortable. Bomber-style jackets are very big this winter season and look great with a slimmer line like the baggy slims above. And of course their is LOTS of varsity-style clothing about, especially jackets and T’s. On trend without even trying.
The only rule is that you be as comfortable as you are unique. COOP from Trelise Cooper is fashionably anti-fashion, except that it’s just so damn fashionable.
The colour palette largely of black, cream, denim, navy, grey, ochre and oxblood lets the clothing do ALL the talking.
And not a stiletto insight. Amazingly, I am totally in the groove with this collection even tho I’m a high heel girl. I can curl up on the couch with a glass of wine, a good book and the dog…and still be ready to bounce out the door when friends swing by to go to the markets or a pop-up bar. Casual winter fashion doesn’t GET any easier than this.
Is this a look you love? What are your favourite casual winter fashion looks? What will you be rocking this winter season?
